Websites people remember.

Web design · Development · Brand identity · Digital products

SILICA is a small studio in Tel Aviv. We design it, we build it, and the people who did the work are the people you talk to.

What we do

Four things, done properly.

Every project is designed and built by the same hands, so nothing is lost between the drawing and the code.

  • Web design(01)

Sites planned around what the business actually needs to happen, then designed to make that the obvious next step.

  • Web development(02)

Built by the person who designed it. It loads fast, it works from a keyboard, and you can maintain it after we leave.

  • Brand & visual identity(03)

Type systems, colour, and the rules that keep a brand consistent once other people start using it.

  • Digital products(04)

Interfaces for products with real users and real constraints. We start at the structure and stay on it until it ships.

How it works

Four stages. You always know which one we’re in.

  1. Scope(01)

A call, then a written proposal covering what is being built, what it costs, and when it lands.

    You getA written proposal
  2. Direction(02)

Design routes for the core pages. We settle the direction before anything gets built.

  3. Build(03)

A staging link from early on, so you watch the thing take shape instead of waiting for a reveal.

  4. Ship(04)

Launch, handover, and a written record of how it is put together.

You getLaunch and a written handover

What it costs

Published, so neither of us wastes a call.

Projects start at

$3,999

Most projects land between

$3,999 – $50,000+

What moves the number

  • Number of unique page templates and states
  • Whether brand and identity work is included
  • Custom functionality, integrations, and CMS work
  • Content: whether copy and imagery exist already

A good fit if

  • The way your business looks affects whether people buy.
  • You want the same hands on it, start to finish.
  • You can give a few hours to decisions at the points that need you.
  • You care how it is built, not only how it looks.

Probably not a fit if

  • You need a large team working in parallel to a fixed date.
  • The work has to pass through several rounds of committee.
  • You want a template configured quickly and cheaply.
  • You need ongoing daily marketing execution rather than a build.

Founder · designer and developer

SILICA is a small studio. We take on a small number of projects at a time, and we do the design and the engineering ourselves.

That is the whole argument for working this way: nothing gets translated between a design team and a build team, because they are the same people. Decisions about type, layout, performance and behaviour get made together, at the same time.

We work with people who are going to be judged on how their business looks, and who would rather talk to the people doing the work.

More about the studio

How it’s built

The engineering is the product.

A site that looks right and loads slowly is not finished. Every build leaves here measured, not assumed.

Stack
Next.js · TypeScript · Tailwind · Vercel
Rendering
Server-rendered content, client JavaScript only where behaviour needs it
Accessibility
Keyboard navigable, visible focus, honoured reduced-motion, WCAG AA contrast
Performance
100 / 100 Lighthouse

Tell us what you’re building.

The more concrete you can be, the more useful our first reply will be.

We use this only to reply to you. How we handle it

What happens next

  1. 01You send this. It comes straight to us.
  2. 02We reply within one working day, whether or not it’s a fit.
  3. 03If it looks right, we take a call and write you a proposal.

Two things worth saying before you write

A budget range is not a commitment. It tells us what is worth proposing, and it saves us both a call that was never going to work.

You are writing to the people who would do the work, not to an account manager who would pass it on.
